Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RotaDays handles information when you use the RotaDays mobile app. RotaDays is currently available only on Apple platforms.

RotaDays is designed to be a simple rota and shift calendar app with no account requirement, no ads, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. Your schedule stays on your device, and the limited data we do collect is anonymous.

1. Information We Collect

RotaDays does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address inside the app.

Data you create (stored on your device only): rotations you create, start dates, work day and day off patterns, travel days, shift types, locations you manually enter, notes you add, personal events, calendar settings, app preferences, and purchase unlock status. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Anonymous analytics: during onboarding, RotaDays records a small number of anonymous, aggregated events (see Section 2). This includes basic device information and a randomly-generated, anonymous identifier, but never your name, email, or any of your schedule contents.

Purchase-related data: if you buy Full Access, limited purchase information is processed to complete and manage the purchase (see Sections 3 and 4).

2. Analytics (PostHog)

RotaDays uses PostHog to record anonymous onboarding-funnel analytics — for example, which onboarding step you reach and whether you reach the purchase screen — so we can understand where people get stuck and improve the setup flow.

This analytics data is anonymous and is not linked to your identity. We do not create a user profile, we do not record your screen or session, and the events contain no account, no name or email, and none of your schedule, rotation, note, or event contents. The analytics identifier is a randomly-generated value, not your Apple ID or advertising identifier.

PostHog analytics data for RotaDays is hosted in the European Union (eu.posthog.com). We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Paywall and Purchase Offers (Superwall)

RotaDays uses Superwall to present and manage its in-app purchase offers. To deliver those offers and measure how well they perform, Superwall may process an anonymous, device-level identifier and purchase-related events (such as which offer was shown and whether a purchase was completed).

This information is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising, and contains none of your schedule contents.

4. Purchases

RotaDays may offer a one-time Full Access purchase. Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive or store your credit card number, bank details, or Apple ID password.

Apple may process purchase-related identifiers such as App Store transaction identifiers, product ID, and purchase status that are needed to complete and restore purchases.

5. Local Storage

Your schedule data is stored locally on your device. RotaDays does not operate its own backend server for storing your rota, notes, events, or calendar data. If you delete the app, your locally stored data may be deleted from your device.

6. No Advertising and No Cross-App Tracking

RotaDays does not show third-party ads and does not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share it with data brokers. RotaDays does not ask for permission to track and does not use the device advertising identifier.

7. Calendar Export and Sharing

RotaDays may allow you to export or share your schedule as text, image, PDF, or calendar file. When you use sharing or export features, you choose what information to share and where to send it. Exported data may include dates, rota names, shift labels, travel days, locations, or notes depending on what you choose to export, and it is then handled by the app or service you send it to.

8. Support Emails

If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request.

9. Children's Privacy

RotaDays is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Data Retention

Schedule data you create stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Anonymous analytics events are retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention policy (typically up to 12 months) and are then deleted or aggregated. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because RotaDays stores your schedule on your device and collects only anonymous analytics that are not linked to your identity, most data is under your direct control. For any request, contact us at support@rotadays.app and include "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We aim to respond within 30 days.

12. Data Security

RotaDays is designed to keep your rota data on your device, and analytics and purchase data are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). However, no app, device, or method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Data Deletion

Because RotaDays stores schedule data locally, you can delete your app data by deleting the app from your device. For support-email deletion requests, contact support@rotadays.app.

14. Third-Party Services

RotaDays relies on the Apple App Store for purchases and app distribution, Superwall for presenting and managing in-app purchase offers, and PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous onboarding-funnel analytics.

15. International Users

If you use RotaDays outside your country of residence, your purchase-related and anonymous analytics information may be processed by Apple, Superwall, PostHog, or their service providers in other countries. PostHog analytics data for RotaDays is hosted in the European Union.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
